You’ve launched your new website, ready to welcome crowds of new customers. But, if no-one finds your new website, how will they see what you have to offer? I think that ranking number one these days, is more about market share and visibility than just ranking number one for an industry term. There are many places across the web where you can build links through submissions, whether it’s submitting your site, a piece of content, or anything else. Google, the top search engine--and the one to optimize for--handles more than 50 percent of search traffic and utilizes more than 100 algorithms to track and manage HTML content ("on-page factors"), external profiles ("off-page factors"), link architectures, popularity and reputation, as well as PageRank calculation (a complex site voting system) and web bots. Remember that if you use black-hat SEO techniques, you run the risk of getting penalized by the search engines and having your web site permanently removed from their index.
When are you supposed to do it?
Interior links within your site will improve SEO; Sitemaps are a great way to generate internal links and make your website better too! Internal backlinks essentially connect two pages or posts to each other. This can be done a couple of different ways – by text or image content. It is more common to link via text than images due to the fact that it flows more naturally. The natural growth of a Website’s backlink profile is a strong indication of the true competitive quality of the site’s content. Most Websites never earn very many links. Search engines understand this and award those sites with appropriate traffic based on other signals used by their algorithms. Users will occasionally come to a page that doesn't exist on your site, either by following a broken link or typing in the wrong URL. Having a custom 404 page that kindly guides users back to a working page on your site can greatly improve a user's experience. Your 404 page should probably have a link back to your root page and could also provide links to popular or related content on your site. Write proper page titles. Not overly optimized titles targeting a gazillion keywords. No. Proper, one sentence titles that contain your brand name and your focus keyword.
Readability
To achieve long-term SEO results, you must have a strong web foundation built on targeting terms related to your business, industry, and offerings. If you don’t target and rank for the right terms, your audience won’t be able to find you. So one of the most important SEO tactics is keyword research. NAP stands for Name, Address and Phone Number. NAP is critical for businesses wanting to rank highly in local search results. Google cross-references your contact information across your own website, and local online directories in order to validate your company. Inconsistent information can be the reason your SEO is failing. Let’s face it, a website that can’t get its contact details right is more than likely not worth a visit. Hence, Google ranks these websites lower. You have to get your digital footprint right before you do anything else. Keywords are single words, or more commonly strings of words, that represent the content of a web page and how people ask for web content. Keywords are strategically selected by optimizers and are intended to help your web content communicate in a way that resonates with humans and Google search spiders. How do you add content to Google? Websites that continuously pour their heart and soul into all facets of SEO will perform better than competitor websites that do not. Select the best related keywords and start a list. Words with low competition will catch your eye as opportunities. Those are keywords people are searching for, but there isn’t a hefty amount of content available to answer their questions.
Target the community with content to earn local links

Imagine the billions of webpages to be searched when a keyword is typed into the searchbox and the answer comes on your screen within a matter of minutes? Analyzing your competitor’s website could reveal some really interesting information, including audience and main traffic sources. If you find a traffic source that generates traffic to your competitor’s website, then that’s probably a viable channel for you, too. Backlinks drive traffic to your site, but that is less than half the equation because once traffic has arrived at any given page (most likely a blog post), you want to move it to a landing page to convert it. According to Google, featured snippets especially helpful for those on mobile or searching by voice.
Create an interactive tool for good SEO
Google counts links from other websites as votes. So, when they’re presented with two (or more) pages on the same topic, the page with the most links (i.e. votes) will usually rank higher than the page(s) with fewer links. It is important to remember though that organic link building does not happen overnight. You have to build a perceptive strategy to generate the highest quality of content and then promote it amongst the influencers of your market to gain organic links. Search engine optimization should be a part of a website for its lifetime, continuously improving its ability to make a brand (and its content) be more visible and to create a better experience for users. The keywords you use must appear in the page title, the heading, and the image alt text. They must also appear in the content naturally without seeming forced. It’s OK to do promotion to tell people about your content, but if you can only get links by offering money to people or other big incentives, then you’re likely doing it wrong. One of the best ways to get links is to publish original research. That’s not that hard to do. Find out a question that people have in your industry and then do something to answer that question with data.
Be certain to use your long-tail search terms
Over the past 10 years, search has gotten a whole lot better. If you’ve been in the industry long enough, you remember the days of keyword stung articles and link building. Rankings inSEO refers to a website’s position in the search engine results page. User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. SEO can be a fuzzy concept that feels like more art than science. Don't let yourself be intimidated; it's easier than you think. When it comes to writing effective SEO content, you should always begin by thinking of the perfect headline. However, an effective headline can do wonders for not only SEO purposes but also for your social media and website visitors as well.
